Knot Lucky for me has changed my life. I was a very heavy drinker when I first met Cpt. Jimmy. No real direction, no plans, just moving through life kind of numb. I had major problems in my personal life, house was a wreck, living with no electricity due to a small fire. I had plans of killing myself because I saw no way out. I ended up checking into VA mental ward to get my mind stable. When I got out, cpt. Jimmy and Knot Lucky was there with a plan and kept close contact to make sure I was OK. We went off shore a bunch of times and was able to talk and open up and relieve support. Today I am 2 years sober with no intentions of drinking, my mind is healing and I finally feel like I'm worth something. Thank you Knot Lucky.

I moved to Savannah about 3 years ago after a very significant life change. To say I was a bit lost is an understatement. Fishing has always been a huge part of my life and my escape from the stress and realities of life. I saw Jimmy post about knot luck on Facebook and I decided to message him. He responded immediately and set up a time for us to get coffee. I was in a pretty low point in my life and was looking for something to help me get past it. Little did I know I would find a second family in Knot lucky! From off shore trips to inshore get togethers the knot lucky family continues to not only make a positive impact on my life but many others in the area. There’s very few activities that I enjoy more than getting off shore with the knot lucky crew.

I can’t say enough about Captain Jimmy Armel. I knew him from a deployment we did back in ’09, and even then, he was one of the most solid, dependable dudes out there. Now, he’s running this awesome fishing charter for vets, and he’s seriously changing lives. When he took me out fishing, it was more than just a good time—it was like a reset. Jimmy’s doing big things for veterans, and I’m beyond grateful for him and all he’s got going on.
